~Cold~

First up..its getting cold these days, winter is around the corner.Still,I haven't start shopping for warmer clothes, reason,no time..haha..Serious.Exam is in 2 weeks time, this week was all about small test, even yesterday(thursday),although it was a public holiday,I went to college for extra classes. And when I came back, studied for todays small test.So there goes my day off..

On a more cheerful note, after my 'tuition' yesterday,I went to Apita with Eiguchi for Crepe. There's this van which comes once a year selling the most wonderful crepe on earth.I was never fond of crepe, for it was always too sweet and the cream,a mouthful and a mess. This was different, one bite, and you're in heaven..It also cost a lot though so it really is a good 'stop sign' from getting me addicted.Still,I had another one for dinner today..hehe..Its only here until next Tuesday!Excuse,schmcuse...

The thing is,I'm happy that Eiguchi invited me to it.Erm,yea,I'm excitable(learnt that this word exists, from English class, meaning, easily excited)After our trip to the factory on Wednesday,we even had dinner together.4of us..I mean,wow...I never thought I can have dinner with my friends. Its a great step don't you think.I enjoyed going shopping with them too, even though most of the time we came back empty handed.I still seldom talk, but at least now..I can have a group to join..

Oh yeah, went to Kyoto, had fun though it was drizzling. The autumn foliage was not in 'full blast' yet,but still we managed to catch some great photos..
Like this..WE had dinner with Yoshida sensei, our sensei back in PPKTJ who lives in Kyoto, and she brought us to 'Geisha street' where 'muka tembok' me,just can't resist taking pictures of Maiko and geishas that comes to our sight..I was lucky that I managed to get their pictures cuz they were walking as if they were floating/drifting past us quickly.

From head to toe, complete with umbrella...

We went to Kiyomizu and Koudaiji, then Cheong and Michael left early, and then we had a great dinner with Yoshida sensei before saying goodbye to Day 1.The drizzling not the least damping our mood..

DAy 2 was Kinkakuji..One of the must see tourist spot of Kyoto. Here,we can find more 'different' colors of the maple leaves then the green ones we find in Kiyomizu..

Kinkakuji also meant Gold temple..as you can see from the pic...coming up,more pics of leaves..ranging from yellow, red and some with all 3colours..dun blink...

well..if possible I would love to go back to Kyoto again, this trip was too short..Ermm,and Kyoto was packed with people wanting to catch the foliage.Maybe next time,I shall make a trip down myself..The end..

~Too busy to think~

I'm too busy to get angry,
Too busy to care..
Let others do that for a change..

I have small test everyday next week,
No time to breathe,
Just revision and more revision coming up.

Even my trip this Saturday looks not so appealing anymore,
Cuz the next day I have another small test.
Like I said before, next week is small test week.(Every small test's marks is taken account in the term exam..competition is great in my class, even a mere 9marks can make u lose a lot of money...blah)
Going to Kyoto, have to rush back.

I barely even have time for myself,
What more for others?
So ladies and gentleman,
I beg of you,
Leave me alone(Not u all readers,I mean it metaphorically)..

Sound so self-centered,
AS IF I'm really that passionate about schoolwork,
Let just put it in a bad way,
I'M damn kiasu,
There...Happy?

(Was reminded today that I cannot receive the Kimura Scholarship by a mere 9marks..hell..)

~Lame~

So what????
Give it to everybody and leave me out of it..as you wish..
Misunderstanding or what-so-ever,
It never feels good to be singled out.

I might laugh in the future,
Over bitsy things like this...
But I can never forget how lame I was,
On 12th of Nov 2006,
After a jolt of Happiness,
Of making some lame Kaya..
.
.
.

Comes tears at 22.51pm,
Over some little discrimination,
Or maybe some misunderstanding..
Both of which I will never know,
But ended up hurting..Goodnight and good riddance

(going to bed in a very spiteful mood)

~Self made food~

Sorry for not updating recently...Studies has been hectic, and I rarely have time to think, much less blog..Comes Saturday though and I finally got some time for myself and indulge in cooking..

So on Saturday 11/11/2006,I officially tried my hands on making my own nasi lemak.Woke up early in the morning with full 'semangat' wanting to go and buy the stuff needed but damn,it was drizzling..Never mind, cannot cycle,WALK!Nothing will stop me from my Nasi Lemak plan..Went there, search high and low for nuts, coconut milk finally the easiest, cucumber and onions.

Thanks to Anuar's blender and chili powder, and some left over anchovies I manage to save up from the Cucur making last time,I started my attempt.First was the boiling of eggs, while I fried the anchovies..Then,blended the onions and stir fried with the rest of the anchovies(after taking up some as condiments with the nuts),add chili powder, and voila! My sambal was made..(Of cuz, must add a bit water, sugar for taste and texture)..Next was the rice part,Soo Sing was ever so kind to sponsor her rice,so along with our own estimation,we put water and put the rice in the rice cooker..After awhile, our itchy hands start to put in the coconut milk, stirring the rice once in a while..

And after 1hour plus....Tada..Japan rice,Nasi lemak..I was ever so forgetful..I didn't take picture of my wonderful Nasi lemak..Complete with kacang, ikan bilis, sambal, cucumber, one hard boil egg and santan milk rice..arrgghhhhhhh...but it tasted great to me,cukup pedas..hahha..With more than half can of cocnut milk left,Soo and I made Hong tou shui(Red bean soup),memang taste different when got coconut milk..The texture,great...I even gave the nasi lemak to Anuar, who said it tasted great..kena puji..hahahhahahha.For dinner, nasi lemak with Ayam masak merah and fried eggs, how great is that!!Malaysian food that's what...hohoho

Still got half a can of coconut milk..You know me lar, cannot bazir one...Since no curry to make, let's try our hands on...KAYA!!!!Internet is such a convenient tool, just key in Malaysian fodd,Kaya..pop..the receipe is all there..Giler easy..There's this one which I like best, something about his grandmother made kaya which sold out like hot pancakes..So he shared the receipe online..You just need..coconut milk,check..eggs,double check..and sugar..triple check..only 3 ingredients to make a KAYA,how easy is that...

Early 12th of November,Kelly Ti Lien Ghee, tried her hands on her first Kaya attempt..(Nasi lemak, made before in Malaysia)..Beat the eggs, add sugar base on instincts, beating non stop..then add coconut milk..The hard part, have to cook with low fire until the mixture gets brown and sticky,kaya-style of cuz..NON STOP STIRRING!!else it will get burn..I spent one hour plus getting this kaya done..Went out to buy bread, damn strong wind today..Was almost blown off my bicycle.. reach here safely, quickly open and take out bread..

And sapu.........
..

..

..

Giler sedap!!!!!Not to blow my own horns, but hell,it was real KAYA!!!!!!OMG!!!KAYA KAYA KAYA!!!I fell kaya already...Now,waiting for Soo Sing to wake up..See how she feels, cuz she was craving for kaya yesterday...OMG...KAYAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!

~Nara's Nasi Lemak~

Went to Nara kosen this time..Please stop asking me why..Can't I do anything without giving any reasons? What about..spontaneous act?ermm, cuz I have 3days hols and I want to go somewhere?erm, for Nasi Lemak????or,cuz its a festival and an annual one, which makes it worth going? There, satisfied??Aiyerrr,u people arr...ask questions non stop one...K lar,cut the crap..

Took 3hours for me to get there, suprisingly I didn't get lost. Was too engrossed with the book I brought along that I took the trains base on instincts after checking the time.Shi Han came to the station to take me to Nara kosen...
Once reach there I was left on my own as the guys were busy with their Nasi Lemak. So,having no breakfast, this was the first thing that caught my eye and it tasted great. It has a thin layer of rice biscuit at the bottom, and it was topped with an omellete with crunchy cereals and of course, sauce, mayo etc..With the additional pang of hunger,it tasted wonderful..

Then walked around more and filled in my stomach..It was quite a huge kosen but alas,I found nothing interesting enough to whip out my camera except this..Why an aeroplane in the college compound????

Another food picture I took was this, fried ice cream. It was so popular that we had to actually queue up for it.Unlike my kosen and Gifu's festival,Nara kosen has more outsiders joining in the fun, giving it the real 'festival' mood.It was a pity I forgot to take pictures of the main entrance, there was even a mascot to welcome us.

There was a lot of students in cosplay costumes and also some weird guys in gals uniform, those are the ones that make me wanna puke...The way they walk in short uniform skirts is really an eye sore..eugghhh..Sorry,no pictures..I was afraid of being scold seeing that in Japan, you have to ask the person's permission if you wanna take picture of them. So,to save the hassle..I didn't take any...

This is a picture of the stall Cheong they all came up with..I shall reserve my comments...

The guys at work..(eh this picture worth money wei,how often u get to see guys in aprons???)

The foursome...trying to persuade you to taste the sweet Nasi Lemak..

Well,I had fun watching some Robocon show, help sell Nasi Lemak and tasted some great food at a reasonable price..Even got a free coke and nasi lemak as my part-time job payment. Should have demanded more ..Came back tired, not from the journey, but from the cycling I had to do from the train station..Why is it uphill anyway???grrr...The end...

~Just 10seconds~

After 7hours,I stopped short, lying horizontally against my single-bed,staring at the ceiling...
Wonder when was the last time I gave myself time to stare at the ceiling?
Not that its anything great or significant, but staring at the ceiling for just 10seconds,my mind was blank..
For once, tranquility was there. The pressure of 4 test within 3days this week, the sadness and frustration that I had done some mistakes was temporarily gone..
It strucked me that I had not been staring at the ceiling since....12..

Within this 8years..So much,so many things have happened..
I never once thought I can stare at this ceiling right now..
In a foreign country, with no family and friends..
I have been caught up with things happening around that I realised I should have treated myself better, instead of asking for more...or neglecting my own rights..

I'm getting tired nowadays..The silly mistakes in my tests is a sign..
I'm trying too hard,to impress,to fulfill my own ego..
10seconds was all it takes,to realise that I'm actually lucky,
That although lonely,a call is all I need to reach out for a friend..
If only I want to..
If I chose not to,I have only myself to blame for my loneliness..

I miss my old house's ceiling all of a sudden..
Not the new apartment I shifted in last year..
I miss the house I have stayed in for the past 18years..
Sigh..I just miss Malaysia all of a sudden...
