~Internship day 2~

Korean guy speaks more than me.
Was actually quite surprised.
Talked all the way til we reach the company.
Oh by the way.
I'm doing my internship at Panasonic Storage Battery Ltd. Co.

Attended weekly Wednesday meeting.
Even one malfunctioned product of the millions around the world is being reported and discussed.
I just said 'Yoroshiku onegaishimasu' when being introduced.
Read about lead batteries.
Being taught what a company is.
What customer service is
What 'community contribution' is.
Still darn nervous.

Was asked to study for small test which didn't happen.
Was asked to sit with a senior from uni with his friend.
Invited Korean guy together so that there's 4 of us.
The Japanese guys are of same age,Korean guy one year younger.

After lunch,
Did data input.
Supervisor actually explained what the data means.
And the importance of it in making the batteries.
Everything counts.
Errors,loss,length,width.
Everything.
Brushed up my Excel skills.

Notes/surprises:
1. Too many rules!!
2. Must take rest after working for more than 2 hours.(Was actually forced to rest!!)
3. No walking with hands in pockets for safety reason.
4. No driving to avoid accident.
5. Must change into uniform everyday,change again during lunch to avoid carrying lead from the factory.
6. Every morning there's a meeting.
7. Everyday I have to write a report about what I learned and my observations/thoughts.
8. In a company,if there's a problem, think of a solution asap.In university, thinking about the solutions slowly are required, it's training for the brain.
9.The department I'm working at is actually the brain of the company.No skills and ideas,no production.No production,no goods.No goods,no profit. No profit= no company.
10. Time really pass by REAL slow here.Maybe it's because there's no windows.Everything is slow,people walk fast,talk fast,do things fast.But time just...drags on..

Clock out punctually at 5pm.
Going to bed now.
10pm.
What a robotic life I'm leading.
