First day of my weekend trip involves meeting with Aratanhuara..It has been 2and a half years ago since we last met..surprisingly she didn't change much and we still can chat like the meeting we had 2years ago happened yesterday..And as of always she cooked up a pleasant meal for me,with all the stylish cutlery and all..had tea, white wine which goes superbly well with her mushroom spaghetti..she moved to a new place,a place cheaper than the one in kokubunji but was twice bigger..and as usual she always make me take something home,so guilty because I went to her house empty handed yesterday..I wish I could stay longer but I had another appointment at 5pm so I left after spending 3hours with her and the comfort of her house..if I could own a place like her's someday,I would love to make it as comfy and homey like hers as well..
Comes 5pm,I went to meet my Japanese sensei who taught us Japanese before we came to Japan..he didn't change much at all even if the last time we met was also 3years ago..it was kinda weird going out with him because all we talked about was things about Malaysia and some chat about how busy he was with his new work etc..i would say it was a very polite conversation all the way up til which Tokyo tower.Wanted to go up the tower at first, but as the line was superbly long, I just gave up and suggested we go for dinner instead.. There were pretty much awkward moments because after talks about Malaysia and work, there isn't really much to talk about..contrary to the Japanese where silence is an acceptable moment for thoughts, I for one couldn't let silence occur when there's only two people..it was kinda hard to think about topics to chat about, much more when the other party is 11years older than you..anyway,later we had a decent dinner at gyukaku,a place for yakiniku(barbeque meat) which has a very good cabbage side dish..note to myself, will definitely order again if I ever go to the shop again..the place was filled with Chinese students working there..during dinner I received an SMS which gave me an excuse for an escape from more weirdness and awkwardness..
So after spending 2 and half hours with sensei,I left for Ueno..got to meet new people, had a plate of sushi because I was still very full with spaghetti and barbeque meat..it was amazing listening to them talking, about their experience working in different countries etc..I've always admire people who started working in big companies even at a young age with impressive performances..it made me ponder that how many people my age are already earning big bucks, enjoying working in different countries while I'm still under the protective cover of being a student..not like I don't like my life now,I do in fact..was just thinking "wow, wat a life so different and interesting than mine"..that's all..
On the way back to Ley's place,it was hell of a packed train, one of the points I don't like about Tokyo..I don't mind being in a full crammed train, but I definitely hate the disgusting uncles who try to use this 'chance' to get all touchy..before I go on,would like to say that I was unharmed and unscathed but I felt really disgusted at some sick people like these..this uncle in his forties was standing in front of me while his hand was at the handrail near the door..he pretended to sleep while with evey turn of the train,he tried to inch nearer to me each time..the whole ride was about 20mins and he tried to act funny after 15mins, thank god I managed to get off quickly..wonder what would have happened if my stop wasn't so soon..bloody sick Japanese bastards..
Anyway, that was day one..gotta get ready for day 2..adios:)
