~Labuan trip~

This is the continuation of my 8days in Borneo..Labuan trip..after KK...

We took a 2and a half hour ferry to Labuan.On the way we had slept well through choppy wters and nuisance from other passengers.We also entertained ourselves with a horror movie from Thailand which was pretty good.After reaching Labuan it was about 7 in the evening and wondering what to do we walked around aimlessly til we found the ticket booth to buy our tickets to Miri.However it was already closed thus we looked for our next priority,accomodation.We called Global Hotel a 2star hotel and also some budget hotel to confirm the pricing of rooms.Seeing that the pricing was the same so we decided to stay at the 2star hotel thinking it might be better than the budget hotel(whta's the difference I have no idea).It was a walking distance so we stayed at Global Hotel..

Had some conflict on what room to get.For we felt bad letting Chin Leong sleep the floor but we soon decided that's the best option.Went for dinner at a Chinese Resturant also nearby and had a different variety of Kuey Tiow there.Then had bought some grocery and spent the night playing cards for we were too tired to go out.Besides,this town shuts down freakly early.We were there at 8pm and yet almost all the shops were closed..One thing we moticed that's for sure,it gets day light early as 7am and it gets dark early too..At 7.30pm its already like 9pm..So we had no problem waking up early there.

The next day went for breakfast nearby again and then ead to the Jetty where I remember seeing a rent-a-car service.Since it was also the Air Asia counter we asked for tickets to Miri.To our dismay,Air Asia has not started a domesic flight from Labuan to Miri.And since we don't have our passports,we cannot get any public transpot be it on land or by sea to Miri cuz we'll have to pass by Brunei,and no matter you're Malaysian or not,we need our passport to pass through Brunei.GREAT!So,we rent a Ford car since there was no more Kancil and it was only RM10 extra,we went to the Airport.To my delight it was an auto and Chin Leong doesn't know how to drive one so I took over*Yee haaa...(he claimed he knows but we soon found out that he has driven an auto ONCE and he made the car jerked suddenly so we agreed I took over since I'm an auto driver.*he looked so reluctant..hahahha)The car was such a beauty and I didn't mind paying an extra RM2.50 for it.We pumped petrol and headed to the airport.

We waited for almost an hour for turn at MAS airline and was really worried about the pricing of our ticket thought it'll be smething like RM200+ plus tax..We were relived to find that it only cost Rm84!!haha..All the anger for waiting too long was vapourised into thin air(got 2 counters,one efficient Chinese lady was going super fast while one AH PEK took 40minutes to handle a client!!shit him man...imagine we have 30people in front of us!!)After getting our tickets we went vsiting around some tourist sites we found through the brochure.Every place was so damn near and after travelling for the whole day the fuel was not even half used!!We saw Chimney,birds at bird pack,the weather was killing,had coconut,went to the Beach,had chicken wings,Chin Leong was weirdly quite,went to Peace Park,the weather super duper killing.Then we head to a shopping mall,looked around,got some junk food,went to viallage on the river,went for dinner,went back to hotel for toilet,then head to the beach at Peace Park again for sunset.It was gorgeous.I managed to take every minute of its setting(ok,so its not every minute but you can see the difference of the sun setting each time)Saw Dragon and Phoenix as well.No not the real thing but almost,the clouds were formed into the shape of both legendary creatures and all 4 of us saw it.It was breath taking all right.

Now what did we do after that eh...I forgot..oh yeah,we bought liquor and spent the time in the room again.Chomping away junk food and playing Hco Dai Di,watched a great movie on Astro,Chin Leong got drunk while May Ching's camera went haywire prompting May Ching,Xin Ning and I to press here and test there.We soon got tired and slept.(Aiseh everyday kena sepak...hehe)Woke up the next morning,packed everything and then head out for sports shoe shopping.Almost got a ticket for illegal U-turn but thanks to May Ching and Xin Ning's superb fast thinking,I got away with it..

"Kita tak tau sebab kita dari KL,kena cari jalan balik hotel"

"Tak nampak pun tanda no U-turn itu.."

"Baru datang hari ini,tak kenal jalan lagi..."

Fuyoo,respect...*What are you smirking at Chin Leong????*grumble grumble...

After returning the car we walked to find some sports shoe shop,came to conclusion that there's only one that sells the real thing.Me tried some but came back empty handed,either its no size or not beautiful.Chin Leong got one for himself and his father while May Ching got one for herslef and her sister.Really damn cheap lar the sports shoes,every seen RM80 NIKE shoes??shit..No my size..Me went back earlier with May Ching while Xin Ning and Chin Leong headed to the liquor store and got some liquor for their families.Me came with one back went to Mir with also one bag..they all,fuyoo..shopped quite a lot ler..After vegetarian lunch at Global Hotel's restaurant and spending time there playing cards again we headed to the Airport at about 2pm..Shit,and our flight was 5.45pm.Took a cab there and that grumpy old man murmurred non stop when I accidently bumped my luggage bag to his taxi.(my luggage more damaged then your car man,besides its inside the car boot,who'll go and see if there's and dent???)spent our time getting free sauna at the airport,playing cards while it was May Ching's turn to get super quiet...the weather killing us all..Spent hours playing cards(Thanks to Teo's card for saving our lives from boredom) and finally checked in and took our flight to Miri.

Took about only 45minutes,belum habis minum refreshment..belum tutup mata lagi to rest:

"Ladies and gentleman,the buckle your seat belt sign is on,please fasten your seatbelts as we'll arrive to Miri shortly,thank you..."

Reached Miri safe and sound...Joked about how straight Chin Leong is and could never so senget..Will never break rules etc..After that we soon met Teck Soon and family....and the story continues.....
