~I love Korea~

I have to admit,I started to like Korea after watching Winter Sonata..I never knew there's such a lovely country with such beautiful people..After that it was Korean drama craze for me til the extent that I was quite sure I could speak a few words of Korean.That was then...Now,all I know is the name of food=P

Alright ladies and gentlemen,the long awaited Korea trip post..

First up the food.. (and mostly about it)

Korean ramen..Found at the hawker stalls by the roadside,usually people drink soju with it also..
Gimbab,sushi roll with cooked meat,very tasty..Ginseng Chicken..Got rice inside and the bones of the chicken was boiled til edibly-soft.One of my favorite Korean food..
Side dishes with the main course..
Got shells,fish cakes etc...All hawker food.
Very spicy soy sauce chicken..Thanks to Kai Rou for taking us there..Seafood steamboat..More hawker food..Got very good cheese hot pancake,spicy sausage rolls,meat balls etc..

Roast duck meat...Tofu-chige,bibimbab(mixed rice) and fragrant Korean rice..Very nice spicy sausages,really warmed me up in the cold Christmas night

Nice satay like chicken with soju(Korean alcohol) at the road side stalls..Joyce looking really cute here stirring her seaweed soup noodles..

And etc...Really ate a lot and took a lot pictures of more food but I think enough for now lar..Funny,ate so much didn't even gain 1kg,instead lost 0.4kg=)

Next the must visits..Changdeokgung Palace and Gyeoungbukgung Palace..

Was busy listening to what the guide was saying so didn't really take much picture in this palace..A really beautiful palace I would say but I prefer the next one more..

Gyeongbukgung..

They have changing of guards every 2 hours or so..All the guards were very tall..

Here,we got ourselves a very cool audio guide for 1000won whereby the tool has a pen-like tip and when you place the tip of the tool on the given map at each part of the palace,the explanation would be given..Very cool..

From here everyone seperated and stroll around the palace ground and agreed to meet 2hours later..I went off alone.I prefer to be alone when visiting places like this..Like what I saw?

Next,the must watch performance in Korea..Nanta.

Really had a lot of fun in this trip.I thought it would be hard to travel with so many people but it was actually quite fun,maybe because the members was fun to be with in the first place.Enjoyed eating,shopping,knowing some people better and just having 6days of pure fun..Wouldn't mind doing it again.Thanks everyone for making this trip a memorable one..

Korea

Hi from Korea!!=p

Currently waiting for the other members to wake up because we had a Christmas party til 3am in the morning yesterday,everyone is still deep in slumber=)

Yesterday I arrived safely with TY to Incheon Airport,Seoul from Nagoya.Once arrived we followed the e-mail Joyce had sent us to Holiday in Korea and know what?We actually arrived safely without getting lost even once!!Hurray..So happy.Thank goodness for the guide book I bought and preparations we did before coming here.Happy..

Once we reached,the rest were already waiting for us..We arrived to Incheon at 6pm,finished custom and baggage collecting at 7pm but from there to Seoul took us 2hours!!Plus there was a massive jam so it further delayed our arrival time.The jam in Korea reminds me of the traffic in KL.In Japan we seldom see any traffic jam because taking the train is more of the norm there..But seeing the jam in Korea sort of reminds me the jam I was so used to in KL=)

Anyway,the guys..Oh yea,before I go on let me introduced who are the "guys"..Hehe..

First up,the sorta-organisers..May Ching and Joyce..

From Suzuka,me and Tang Yii
And all the way from Kantou:Xin Ning,Pik Yee,Joceline and Joann

So then 10girls and 2guys went to cari makan..First thing I had was ramen at the sidewalk stalls,you know-ler,the ones we used to see in Korean Drama where people sit down and makan,drinking Souju and pouring their hearts out...The ramen was biasa,like curry maggi but at least I got to try it at the stalls..hehe..Me satisfied.Had some fried spicy fish with onions in sambal-like sauce,the taste was good but the fish,never eaten anything like it before. Then tried a very small Gimbab also at the stalls and it was pretty good.Gimbab are like Japanese's temaki sushi,rice wrapped in seaweed with fillings inside,but the taste was different.I like Gimbab more then Temaki in short.Tried some fried sweet cakes with peanuts fillings inside also,hot and very nice!!

Then we had Christmas party(the Yogurt cake was good!!!!!) and exchanged gifts before we had Mafia game.So long never play d,need to polish up my skills=) Xin Ning was a really good Mafia,respect giler.Her stratergy damn powerful..Respect respect.Everyone sort of like got gifts that suits them best..Damn cool..

Anyway,we played til 3.30am til everyone was too tired to think.Then everyone went back to their respective rooms..My room,I shared with TY and another Japanese lady who went to bed so early that we resorted to bathe in MC's room in order not to disturb her..so now,when everyone is ready,going to Dongdaemun for shopping!!yay!!
