Finally..I'm going on a real holiday..Don't wanna think bout the homework piling up,the exam after the hols and the reports..For 21days,I'm going to just...ENJOY!!!!See you guys later!I'm of to China..lalala
~MY HOLS!!~
~Lost in translation~
My hols started on 19th of July, today is the 20th..And I have yet to rest. I have gone to school yesterday to do experiment from 10am only returned to my room at 8pm. After that,I start working on my new job, which was introduced by Sawada sensei. To translate 8pages of thesis from Japanese to English...It wouldn't have been so difficult if its normal English, but no..This is about Improvement of Water Adsorptivity of Activated Carbon for Adsorption Heat Pump by Hydrophilic Treatment...Try translating that...Sigh..For the time being I have worked for 13 hours,6 yesterday and 7today, and I only manage to get half done.Deadlline? TOMORROW...
Good luck to myself...
On a happier note,I'm really grateful to Tomizawa Sensei.Remember the strict sensei I mentioned earlier?Well,I remembered him telling me that Kok-sempai installed a Eng-Jap or Jap-Eng traslation program in the pc in his room.So I asked if I could take a look at it.He actually agreed to take the whole hard drive out from his cupboard (he changed a new hard drive recently) and asked another sensei to lend me a monitor to set up the pc.Then using his mouse and keyboard,I set up the PC and was amazed by the existance of the ever-so convenient program.
The catch is,though, the program cannot fully translate everything correctly so you have to made changes here and there. But I was throughly amused by it.The thing that really suprised me was,Tomizawa sensei actually helped me scan my work to his PC so that I can copy-paste the Jap thesis to the program to translate faster.(imagine if I were to type line by line, pages by pages..)Not only that,he helped me correct the Japanese errors after the scanning because some words were not right/different after scanning..for 2hours..He worked on 2 pages, while I did 3..Both of us worked for 2hours from 6pm til 8pm....for MY part time job..Is this sensei nice or what?!?!?!?Best thing of all,he lend me the whole PC and helped me move the PC to the hostel by his car..
The PC is now with me and I can have it for the week..Imagine if I don't have the program,I doubt I can finish 3pages within 13hours.I might just finish half a page. These thesis is damn difficult......Anyway,that's how I'll spend my time up to Sunday, before I leave for China..I really need a break right now..Else I could just die of over-working..5hours of sleep during holidays, and its for work???Unbelievable...24hours more,18hours of work...sighhh
~Planning~

~typhoon~
Today, typhoon is here..Strong winds and non stop rain...A lot of accidents happened in Okinawa and Kyusyuu yet I had the nerve to invite TY out for lunch, and got splashed with water by a passing car.Curse that guy, idiot, dunno how to slow down ar!?!!??!Well,it was drizzling then, not now though..The wind is so strong outside that I'm not suprise to see cat and dogs flying..Opt to stay indoors, the best option.Spent another 6hours in front of the pc..I'm crazy.haha..What to do,watch drama mar..not bad, kill time while relaxing. For those who is as free as me(or chose to be),换换爱is a new Taiwan drama on the block. Not bad I would say..Have fun...Tomorrow start with my reports again lu..Sien,MSN messenger just won't connect..WTF..
JJ'S new album is not bad..haha
~Updates~
Tired out after I took 5solid hours to finish up one report..My back is aching and my eyes are tired after spending so many hours in front of the pc.In fact,I felt kinda dizzy right now after working too long.Guess I'm not suitable to work in the office huh?Crap again..
So let's see what has been going on with my life.Today, class as usual, experiment as usual.I kinda like this 創造工学 where you can chose which teacher you want to be under guidance and do experiments to your liking. My sensei is Tomizawa Sensei,a sensei I both respect and fear. For one,he is a strict sensei, the no nonsense type of sensei.Usually people wouldn't want to chose his room cuz he is strict and all that. But that is also the main reason why I chose to go under him.I believe that with a strict guidance only can we manage to get something done. And besides, there's plenty of chocolates in his room=P..No,that is beside the point.Fact is,only with his strictness could I learn to err now and make less mistakes when I'm further my studies in University where there's no such thing as Sensei 'guiding' you.You have to be on your own.
And so,today Araki,Eiguchi and I continued with our experiment to find the best way to get these colour changing mixtures turn colours fast enough and then get back into 2different layers. Now,my lab coat is really colourful with all the pink, green and blue.Fun..But I have to learn to be more careful playing with Chemicals.Today,I spilled HCl,also known as Hydrochloric Acid(a strong Acid) to my lab coat.I wonder why there's no hole though..Still,imagine if I were to spill it to myself, without the labcoat to protect me...*shudder..Gotta be careful..
Yesterday I had badminton, which results to my aching butt, legs and blue black knee.I don't mind the aching actually, reminded me that how much fun I could have with Badminton. And to prove that at least I am half-good at one sport, and not just a geek who studies 24/7..
Wednesday we had an hour meeting with the new principal.Nice guy but had little to say.I found that I reallllllllyyyyyyyyy am an eejit..WTF!!!After one year here,I still can't speak proper Japanese????DAmn..Because last year I was told off for not using the Masu-kei(the polite way of speaking to your senior/adult/respected people) so this year I was extremely careful not to offend these people. However, when I start choosing my choice of words, plus the anxiety of speaking to adults..I start to stammer..F**k..After 1lousy yearhere,I still can't speak a perfect line without stammering or correct myself at times..Shit...
That night we had Ryou-sai too(hostel festival),sad to say I wasn't able to play due to the meeting with the Principal. But I had fun chatting with a long-time friend through phone for 2hours.Nowadays,I realised that guys could talk for long hours too.No pun intended,I enjoyed myself speaking with these guys. It's fun to update each other about certain news and also to share some views.Well,it's a good thing I would say, because sometimes you do need some views from the opposite sex and it's kinda refreshing. After all,you need some time-out from your daily group too no?Enough said.5minutes to midnight,no one chatted with my tonight.Just to my liking,I could concentrate on finishing my report.Goodnight then.
Ps:sorry Em,long post again=P
pps:My passport with my Visa to China finally arrived today!!!HURRAY!!!!
~三連休~

Let's change the mood for awhile shall we?Back to the jovial me.Let's talk about the 3days day off I had.On Friday there was a day off due to the Tokai Kosen Taikai,a interschool sports competition within this Tokai area.So using this chance,I went to Nagoya to get my Visa to China done.I was in high spirits when I could find the location of the Consulate easily based on a few internet-googling-and-map-printing.Felt so adult being able to do my own visa to travel abroad.(who am I kidding?I AM an adult no??)

After that met up with Clement and spent the rest of the day with him.We spent 1hour at Bic camera (I splurged again!!!but I NEED a USB what...=P) and then we went to a new cinema in Nagoya about 10minutes away from the train station.Had a good ramen lunch at a restaurant called Kokuryuu, which served really good raman with meat roasted by using charcoal(or so Clem says).Enjoyed myself watching Die Hard4.It has been long since I last watched an action packed movie, til I almost forgotten how much I used to enjoy them.Next was dessert at Baskin Robbins and we just sat there chatting.I realised then that casual chats are very good stress relievers, you don't have to think about anything and just chat away.If it wasn't for the headache that was killing me softly,I would have enjoyed it more.We left at about 7pm after a failed attempt to find a yukata and a suprised find that there's a cinema right in front of the Nagoya station. The whole building however, was full of shops selling branded stuff that I felt so out of place just walking in there.Chanel,Dior,Dunhil..you name them, the shops are there. The only thing I could afford to buy would only be the movie tickets and the food at a Korean restaurant we found there..shuckss...

Comes Saturday.A very boring day which I studied and finished up some reports.I did however tried my hands on cooking Laksa for SS and TY and thank goodness it was edible.Haha.Thanks for the soup base from Cheong. We had a Malaysian dinner that night.Spicy..haha

Sunday, was the day I played all day long.Woke up at 8am after breakfast and reading the paper(yes,I finally managed to make myself read the paper every morning),slept back at 9am and woke up at 11am.Went karaoke with SS and TY at 1.45pm and spent 4hours there.Enjoyed myself since it has been ages since I last truly let myself enjoy.Had dinner at Bikkuri Donkey, watched a nice drama called `papa to musume no nanokakan' and slept early. No study.GREAT!!Well,I need to let my hair down once in awhile too no?Contradicting with myself, what a nutcase..haha..
By the way, thanks a lot Em for drawing this pic for me..

What do u guys think?pretty cool huh?
~With great power comes great responsibility~
So,who says it's your right to blog what you think?Blog something sensitive, you get the whole world down your throat.Blog something sweet and nice, and everyone gets on with life happily.Like I said before, some people just like to live in ignorance.Throw them the 'cold hard truth',and they'll go condemning you like shit.
They don't say "with great power comes great responsibility" for nothing.I just didn't know that though I'm no Kenny Sia,my blogs still influence certain people.Sorry for those who took it the wrong way.Sometimes,I just blog without thinking. And sorry for posting up such emo entries.Seriously,it's PMS.There, happy??Why do we need a reason or a purpose for everything anyway???
..
~Pretender~
Do you question yourself this..
How well do you know someone? When you're not part of their daily lives..
How well do you know someone? When all you know is what they want to let you know..
How well do you know someone? When you think you understand them enough when you don't..
Life,is all about pretending..A play,like I said before..
You tend to pretend, you tend to lie, white lie or not..
So that you're accepted,so that you're not shunned,
So that you'll be praised for whatever you have done.
So that you'll be looked up upon,
So that you'll never be blamed for whatever mistakes done.
So that you can leave and never look back,
In short,so that you can do whatever your selfishness wills you to do.
When you are busted,
You again,LIE,to get away with everything.
Lies are handy tools to 'deal' with responsibilities,
A handy key to open the gate and live in the blissfulness of ignorance.
Set aside 'conscience',you'll realise that 'pretending' is easy,
And that good and evil is neither black nor white,
But a grey part of our daily lives.
Scared to hear the truth huh?
Then,learn to 'pretend',
That one can 'see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil'...
~Japan~
Why do people gets so crazy about Japan?Could anybody tell me?Maybe its because I am IN Japan,I've lost the sense to understand the wonders it has to offer.Reading some blogs which I knew long existed but seldom drop by,the writers took noticed of every detail when they are traveling in Japan or some, even while living in Japan.Even if they lived here for 2years,Japan still never fails to amuse them,or caught them by suprise..
Its funny that through their pictures,I see somethings that I usually knew of their existance yet fail to take notice or take them for granted. Is it because of the acknowledgement that they don't have so much time in Japan that they could see the wonders of Japan?Or is it because they just simply love Japan?(And visit Japan numerous times)Again,I'm repeating myself...WHY???What is so amusing about Japanese culture?Humour me,anyone...
Funny reading this from a gal who travels frequently?=P

~HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY DEARS!!~
Comes July 1st...3of my dearest friends will be celebrating their birthday!!
Dear Chen Li,
Although I've known you only for about 2years,but I'd like to let you know, you're a true friend indeed.Who would've thought through Alex we'll meet,go travelling in Malacca together, clubbing together, had 3am dim sum together?Who would have thought you'll come over to my place to stay over, chatted til late nights together and e-mail each other more frequently than Alex?haha..When all we did was getting to know each other within that few days in Malacca..Funny how things turns out to be huh?Anyway, just to let you know,I'll cherish you forever!!
Dear Sim Yee,
You went to Ipoh to further your studies,to realise a dream of being a teacher, out of the blue. You really caught us by suprise you know..But I was glad that I still managed to catch you at YY's Christmas party, you are as lovely as ever,as caring as usual.I hope someday we'll be able to meet again and continue our endless talks, which we always manage to do,even after a long time seperation. You might not know the existance of this short letter, but all the same,I missed you!!
Dear Sze Yin,
Out of all the gals, you were the closest to me back then.We used to talk about our future, how unpredictable our future might be.The topic that gave me the strongest impression that we had was about friendship. How much do we treasure our friends and that no matter how hard we try, some,we still have to let go..Now,you are busy woman with huge responsibilities.Juggling insurance work and going to lectures etc.But meeting up with you in March brought back fond memories, and I realised that no matter the distance and time, you and I will always stay the same..Hope that we'll meet again when I go back (spare some time for me lar,u busy gal!!=P) and catch up on each other's happenings.Take care and keep the smiley face going=)
Happy Birthday Girls!!
